The Influence of Play Therapy With Coloring The Picture Toward The Anxiety At Preschool Children During Hospitalization

Abstract

Hospitalization at the children was a stressful experience, so children often experience anxiety. The one effort to reduce anxiety in children wass by sweeping the coloring of the image. This study do determined the influence of play therapy with coloring the picture toward the anxiety at preschool children during hospitalization in the Carmel Room of the Mardi Rahayu Kudus Hospital. Theresearch was praexperiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The population were the preschoolers (3-6 years) children in the Carmel Room of Mardi Rahayu Kudus Hospital. The sampling technique used Purposive sampling, with sample size were 56 respondents. Data analysis techniques with Wilcoxon.The Wilcoxon analysis results obtained a p value of 0.000. There is the influence of play therapy coloring the picture toward the anxiety of preschool children during hospitalization. Play therapy with coloring the picture influenced to decrease the anxiety of preschool children during hospitalization.
