The Relationship Between Parenting Patterns and Bullying Behaviour in Children

Abstract
A child is defined as a person under the age of eighteen, including a child still in the womb. When a child is able to optimal development, the child will have a personality with high qualities to a better future. But in reality, not all children are able to go through their development optimally because of the disruption of their developmental processes. As a result, children are unable to perform their developmental tasks according to their age and are difficult to accept by their social groups. One of the phenomena found in child development is the presence of bullying behavior in the environment where the child grows up. The causes of bullying behavior are influenced by several factors, one of which is the pattern of parental care. Parental care patterns influence the child's development, both physically and emotionally. Inappropriate care patterns can be a possible cause of bullying in children. The aim of this study is to find out if there is a connection between the pattern of parental care and bullying behavior in the child of the 7th grade SMPN 1 Mejobo Holy. The method in this study uses quantitative cross sectional. Sampling method uses simple random sampling technique with a sample of 31 respondents. The data collection was carried out by disseminating care pattern questionnaires and bullying behavior and tested using the chi square test chi square test with p value of 0.049. There is a significant relationship between the pattern of parental care and bullying behavior of children in the 7th grade SMPN 1 Mejobo Holy.
