The Influence of Menstruation Health Education on Adolescent Women's Readiness to Face Menarche at SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarta

Abstract
Incidents of menarche that come without prior preparation and lack of knowledge about menstruation which can cause children to feel anxious and afraid, unpreparedness of adolescents for these changes can affect life and behavior that are prone to fall into reproductive problems such as UTIs, and not a few adolescents have sex outside of marriage to the point of cause HIV/AIDS. Provision of health education about menstruation is urgently needed by young women to increase readiness in facing menarche. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of health education about menstruation on the readiness of young women to face menarche at SD (Primary School) Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarta. This research method used Pre-Experiment with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Sampling technique was done using purposive sampling totaling 54 students. Statistical test was carried out using the Wilcoxson Pairs Test. The results showed that there were differences in readiness to face menarche before being given health education and after being given health education about menstruation using video and lecture methods. Data analysis found that the p-value was 0.000, where the p-value was <0.05. The conclusions and suggestions of this study are that there was an influence of health education about menstruation on the readiness of young women to face menarche at SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarta. It is hoped that the school will facilitate the provision of knowledge about menarche as early as possible before menstruation because good knowledge will have an impact on the attitude and readiness of students in dealing with first menstruation
