The Influence of Pregnant Women's Classes on the Anxiety of Third Trimester Pregnant Women in Facing Childbirth at the Puskesmas Pleret

Abstract
One of the services that can be provided by health workers in providing comprehensive care starting from pregnancy, childbirth, to the postpartum period to prevent psychological problems such as anxiety is by implementing regular pregnant women's classes. Pregnant women's classes aim to provide education and information for pregnant women on health during pregnancy, preparation for childbirth, and the postpartum period. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of pregnant women's classes on the anxiety of third trimester pregnant women in facing childbirth. This research method was Quasi Experiment with Static Group Comparison research design. Purposive Sampling technique was performed to select 30 research respondents who would be divided into 2 groups, namely intervention and control; and the anxiety levels would be measured using a questionnaire from the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). This research had been validated by the Ethical Clearance with the letter number of 4127 / KEP-UNISA / I / 2025. The results of this study after the statistical tests using Wilcoxon in the control group showed an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.063>0.05 and the intervention group showed an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.001<0.05 which can be interpreted that there is an influence of the pregnant women class on the anxiety of third trimester pregnant women in facing childbirth at the Puskesmas (Community Health Center) Pleret, Bantul Regency in 2025.
