Correlation between Mother's Knowledge and First Aid Actions for Febrile Seizures in Toddlers Aged 1-3 Years in Sidomulyo Village, Jakenan District, Pati Regency

Abstract
Knowledge is a very important element for the formation of a person’s behavior. The ability to handle emergencies in the field (prehospital) is determined by the ability of the family providing first aid. Febrile seizures are the most common acute neurological disorders in the children. Due to an increase in boddy temperature, the rectal temperature is above 38 °C which is due to the extra cranium processing. Methods and objectives : The research sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample used was 40 respondents. Data analysis used Rank Spearmen (Rho) nonparametrik correlation test. Pearson Chi-Square test. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and first aid measures for febrile seizures in toddlers aged 1 – 3 years in Sidomulyo Village, Jakenan District, Pati Regency. Discussion: The result of this research is the knowledge of mothers from a total of 40 respondents, there are 21 (52,5 %) respondents with good knowledge. While first aid from a total of 40 respondents, there were 19 (47,5 %) respondents with good actions. There is a significant relationship between Maternal Knowledge and First Aid Actions for Fever Seizures in Todlers Ages 1 – 3 Years, with p value = 0,000 with α = 0,05. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that There is a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and first aid measures for febrile seizures in toddlers aged 1 – 3 years.
