Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease characterized by a chronic increase in blood pressure with systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure> 90 mmHg. Hypertension that is not well controlled can lead to an increased risk of complications in people with hypertension, including kidney failure. As a result of hypertension which can worsen kidney health, many kidney diseases have an increased incidence.The aim of the study was to find out how the description of knowledge about the risk of complications of kidney failure in hypertension in Dusun Klurahan, Wonosobo district. This type of research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The number of samples is 40 respondents with a total sampling technique, and the data collection uses an observation sheet with univariate analysis, frequency and percent. The results showed that the majority of respondents aged 46-55 were 20 respondents (50.0%), the majority of respondents were women as many as 24 respondents (60.0%), the majority of respondents had elementary education (SD & SMP) as many as 38 respondents (95.0 %), the majority of respondents suffered from 3-4 years, 15 respondents (37.5.5%), the majority of IRT respondents were 19 respondents (47.5%), the majority of respondents had sufficient knowledge of 21 respondents (52.5%) . The conclusions of the study show that the majority of respondents have sufficient knowledge about the risk of complications of kidney failure in hypertension.
