The Relationship of Knowledge Level and Attitudes of Adolescents with The Behaviors of Three Basic Health Threats on Adolescent Reproduction (KRR Triad) at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Berau

Abstract

Adolescents are an age that is very vulnerable to problems of sexuality, drug abuse, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS or commonly known as the Adolescent Reproductive Health Triad (KRR). In Indonesia, the incidence of teenagers experiencing cases of the KRR Triad is still high, that is 44% of adolescent girls, and 47% of teenage boys have sexual relations, 9.8% of male and 9.2% of female drug users and the number of HIV cases is 48,300. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents with the behavior of the KRR Triad among students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Berau. This research method uses quantitative descriptive analytical and cross-sectional approaches where 80 teenagers were selected as respondents with a sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling. The data used was primary data obtained using a questionnaire with data processing including editing, scoring, coding, data entry, tabulating and cleaning. The data analysis techniques performed univariate and bivariate (spearman rank correlation). From this research, the results showed that the characteristics of adolescents in terms of (age and gender) were 35% male and 65% female. Most of the level of knowledge was in the high category (65%), most of the respondents' attitudes were in the positive category (57.5%), most of their behavior was in the good category (58.8%). The results of the Spearman rank correlation statistical test showed that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge of adolescents and the behavior of the three asic threats to adolescent reproductive health (Triad KRR) at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Berau, with a significance value or Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000; because the Sig value (2-tailed) 0.000 < was smaller than 0.05 or 0.01. There is a relationship between adolescent attitudes and behavior of Three basic threats to Adolescent Reproductive Health (Triad KRR) at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Berau, in significance value or Sig. (2-tailed) was 0.000; because the Sig value (2-tailed) 0.000 was <smaller than 0.05 or 0.01. It is hoped that the results of this research can be used as reference material for SMA Negeri 4 Kota Berau to continue to provide information about adolescent reproductive health so that students avoid the problems of the three basic threats to adolescent reproductive health (Sexuality, HIV/AIDS and Drugs).
