Overview of Endotracheal Tube Intubation Skills Based on General Performance of Anesthesiology Nursing Students Harapan Bangsa University

Abstract

One of the fundamental responsibilities of the anesthesiologist is to ensure adequate gas exchange in the patient. Endoctracheal intubation aims to make it easier for patients to breathe during anesthesia or anesthesia procedures, during surgery, or when the patient experiences a critical condition that makes it difficult to breathe. Endotracheal intubation has a very high success rate in patients undergoing elective anesthesia. The aim is to describe the skills of performing endotracheal tube intubation of anesthesiology nursing students at Harapan Bangsa University. The type of research used is descriptive research with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 213 patients. The measuring instrument used is an observation sheet. The analysis test uses the univariate test. The most dominant gender result is female (71.4%) and the most dominant semester is fourth semester (51.6%). The GR scores of students performing intubation based on semester level are mostly level IV with a pass category (31%).
