Effect of Baby Massage on Weight Gain in Undernourished Toddlers In Wasegi Indah Village, Prafi District, Manokwari Regency

Abstract
Massage is one of the oldest healing methods in the world. Massage encompasses the art of health care and is a medicine capable of loosening overly stiff joints and bringing together the organs of the body with vigorous rubbing. This study aims to determine differences in giving baby massage to increasing body weight in undernourished toddlers in Wasegi Indah Village, Prafi District, Manokwari Regency. The design in this study was Pre-Experimental with the type of one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling, with a total sample of 30 respondents. The research data was statistically tested using the Paired T-Test. The results showed that there was a difference in the effect of giving massage on weight gain in malnourished toddlers in Wasegi Indah Village, Prafi District, Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province (p-value 0.000). It is hoped that midwives can provide CIE to all mothers who have toddlers to increase their knowledge about infant massage
