Abstract

The growth and development of children under five starts from the age of 1 to 2 years, because at this age it is the basis for subsequent growth and development. The process of child growth and development requires optimal nutritional intake, because malnutrition in childhood will cause problems in their growth and development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between nutritional status and developmental stages of toddlers aged 1-2 years at Posyandu Manggis, Mendawai Village, Arut Selatan District, Kotawaringin Barat Regency. This research method is quantitative research with cross sectional design. The study population was children under five aged 1-2 years who visited Posyandu Manggis. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. A sample of 30 children was obtained as respondents. The research data was statistically tested using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that based on the analysis test with Chi-Square, a p-value of 0.001 was obtained, which meant that there was a relationship between nutritional status and the developmental stages of toddlers aged 1-2 years at Posyandu Manggis, Mendawai Village, Arut Selatan District, Kotawaringin Barat Regency. The suggestion in this study is that mothers should increase their knowledge and insight into toddler nutrition so that they can provide sufficient nutrients for the growth and development of children.
