Family Empowerment Model to Prevent Stunting Based on Family Nursing: A Literature Review

Abstract
Stunting is a major problem experienced by toddlers in the world and Indonesia. Efforts to prevent stunting are to change community behavior through health promotion programs and empower families, all of which strive to intervene in positive behavioral changes, especially in mothers during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The purpose of the study was to determine whether the Family Empowerment Model prevents stunting in family nursing. This literature method uses inclusion and exclusion criteria, articles are obtained, reviewed, and obtained from databases, namely Google Scholar (2019–2023), PubMed (2019–2023), and Sciene direct (2019–2023). The search strategy with the terms used in English is as follows: "Family Empowerment" AND "Prevent Stunting" AND "Nursing Community". The initial identification results of the title and abstract are Google Scholar obtained 4250 articles, in ScienDirect obtained 750 while in Pubmed obtained 1580 articles so that a total of 6580 articles were obtained, then exclusion due to irrelevance so that it became 199 and the final result was 14 articles. Results of the Literature Review of 14 articles, the Results of the Literature Review of 14 articles said that there is a relationship between empowering families in reducing the incidence of stunting. Conclusion The Family Empowerment Model with the incidence of stunting in toddlers has a positive meaning. Exclusive breastfeeding alone will not be able to reduce the incidence of stunting, but must be supported by improvements in socio-economic conditions, education levels, infectious disease problems, and empowering women.
