The Effect of A Combination of Fe Tablets with Orange Juice and Ambonese Bananas on Increasing Haemoglobin Level in Pregnant Women

Abstract
The prevalence of anemia among pregnant women globally, including in Indonesia, is substantial. Inadequate iron consumption during pregnancy has detrimental effects on both the mother and the well-being of the fetus. The iron supplementation program is an effort that has been made by the Indonesian government to prevent anemia. Regular use of Ambon bananas can effectively combat anemia. Consuming two bananas daily can elevate Hemoglobin levels, and when combined with the presence of Vitamin C found in tangerines, it can optimize the absorption of iron in the body. The study aims to determine the effect of a combination of Fe tablets with orange juice and ambon bananas on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. The study employed Quasi-Experimental Research Methods with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study amounted to 60 pregnant women with mild anemia divided into 2 groups. The sampling technique was used with Purposive sampling technique. The data collection method in this study used observation sheets. The research instrument used GCHb easy touch. By using the Wilcoxon test, the results showed the most significant effect in the intervention was the combination of Fe tablets with orange juice and Ambon bananas, the results of Haemoglobin levels before giving Combination Juice were 8.50 and the average Haemoglobin after administration increased to 11.33. It can be concluded that the difference in the average increase in Haemoglobin levels in the experimental and control groups had a significant influence on the provision of intervention in the form of ambonese banana juice and tangerine combination of Fe tablets with an increase in Haemoglobin levels in pregnant women.
