The Relationship Between The Level of Knowledge and Cleaning Service Behavior in The ICU Room in Handling Medical Waste at RSUP X

Abstract
A cleaning service is a person whose job is to maintain cleanliness and provide cleaning services in a place or agency. They are very much needed in creating comfort in the workplace and also include the comfort of working employees in terms of cleanliness and workplace services. Knowledge of medical waste handling and appropriate behavior are needed to minimize occupational diseases and nosocomial infections. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the behavior of cleaning services in the ICU room in handling medical waste at X General Hospital. The method used in this study was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The population was 30 cleaning services with sampling techniques using probability sampling. The instruments used were a medical waste handling knowledge questionnaire and a medical waste handling behavior questionnaire. Bivariate test analysis using the Chi-square Test with a confidence level of 95% ( = 0.05) was obtained by obtaining a z value of 19.234a with a p-value (Asymp. Sig.2-tailed) of 0.000 < the critical limit of 0.05 (95% confidence level), meaning that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the behavior of cleaning service officers in the ICU room in handling medical waste at X General Hospital.
