Abstract
Menstrual disorders are abnormalities that occur in the menstrual cycle. There are various menstrual disorders that women can experience, ranging from too little or too much menstrual blood, menstrual pain, to depression before menstruation or premenstrual dysphoric disorder. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between menstrual cycle disturbances and anxiety levels in DMPA injectable contraceptive acceptors. This type of research is descriptive analytic. With a cross sectional research design. The sample in this study was 58 DMPA injection contraceptive acceptors at BPM Bidan Dewi in Bojong Menteng Village, Rawa Lumbu District, Bekasi City. The results showed that there was a relationship between menstrual cycle disturbances and anxiety levels in DMPA injectable birth control acceptors (p-value 0.029). It is hoped that it can further improve family planning services, especially in terms of counseling on side effects that will arise, before helping determine contraceptive choices for family planning acceptors.
